Day of Independence

This year for our July 4th family barbecue, my children innocently purchased two different types of hot dogs. First they went for the default generic halal variety out of habit, respect for Shariah and their father's love of spices. Then they furtively bought a set of kosher ones citing the superior taste and packaging.

Here they are co-existing peacefully with equal amounts of counter space.

And if the conspiracy theorists amongst you think it looks like the kosher links have a little more counter territory than the zabiha ones, it is just the way the photo was cropped. Call it media bias if you prefer.
