Friday March 20th.
Razia read that there was to be a snowstorm in New York the coming weekend, the first day of Spring. She could completely identify. Would one ever be done with cold weather this year? It had been a balmy seventy degrees only a few days ago. She had already taken all her linen pants out from hibernation and folded away winter woollens in tupperware. Spot heaters had been sealed up too. Razia knew this last action had jinxed it all. The East Coast weather forecast reminded her of how she felt the previous week when she saw the owner of a Lexus in front of her get pulled over by police. Razia was secretly glad it wasn't her but didn't want to feel too smug and had slowed down in case she got stopped too.
Monday March 23rd.
Razia got pulled over.
